Crockpot Mac & Cheese

Monday, October 8, 2012

Hi everyone!

Here's the original recipe for the delicious Crockpot Mac & Cheese I did, and here are some of the important alterations (I did these after reading ALL the comments):

  • I added about a cup of shredded parmesean and some extra salt to the liquid mixture, because everyone in the comments was saying it was too bland

  • Add garlic powder to the liquid mixture

  • Add cayenne pepper to the liquid mixture

  • I would cook on LOW... depending on your Crockpot. Some people said it overcooked on high. Some people even recommended cooking it on the "keep warm" setting! I cooked it for barely two hours and it was done, so I shut off the crockpot and it's just sitting right now. I added some seasoned breadcrumbs to the top! :)

Keep an eye on it! You don't want to overcook it. This is a "custard style" mac and cheese - not soupy at all. But, it's absolutely delicious, and you can spice it up any way you want.

Enjoy!

  1. Can you make this for me? Pretty please. I don't have a crock-pot and it sounds so yummy!
