How Far Along: 36 weeks, 3 days

Baby is: according to our ultrasound - you are 6lbs, 10oz with a 35cm head. (Yes, that's measuring at 40 weeks... you better be one smart cookie.)

Obsessing Over: CHRISTMAS. I feel so good this year - all our presents are wrapped and under the tree! I think this is the first time EVER, and I love it. Your big brother is so excited to open presents this year... and there are even a couple gifts under the tree that you so kindly wanted to pass out. Such a sweetheart, you are.

Feeling: Bad. I love this time with you so close to me, but I am just uncomfortable. You are a strong little guy - kicking, jabbing, moving around awkwardly... I have really intense Braxton Hicks contractions, which pretty much stop me in my tracks so I can get past the discomfort and continue on with my day. I'm also having some really subtle cramping, which I'm hoping is a sign that you're soon to come!

Working On: Just prepping for Christmas Eve service tonight - getting myself ready while your big brother sleeps. Also, I woke up a few times last night feeling like I should get my hospital bag packed. So, today, daddy and I went to Fred Meyer and bought some necessities for your first few weeks... onesies, one-size-fits-all sleepers, some receiving blankets, a pacifier, socks, and some newborn diapers. Oh, how much easier #2 is... I know what I need, and what I don't. (Peepee Teepee? Yeah, pass).

Thinking About: I'm already excited to come home from service tonight, put on my jammies, and relax.

Anticipating: BIRTH.

Listening To: Pentatonix Christmas album has been on repeat! Also, I've watched Polar Express & Home Alone more than any other Christmas movie this year, so that is on in the background right now ;)

Craving: pickles, water, salads (anything fresh and light), honey mustard dressing, Earl Grey tea (or Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride tea... how is there NOTHING BUT HEALTHY, WHOLESOME GOODNESS IN THERE? Yum), cheese and crackers, sandwiches.

Wishing: Nothing - I'm really content with where I am right now! Wishing (praying) for a healthy, fast labor and delivery, though. That counts, right?
