Simon Pierce - Month 1

Wednesday, February 11, 2015

One month has flown by! It's amazing to do this a second time. Simon is a totally different baby because he has totally different parents. We're calmer. More confident. (a little) Less paranoid.

You're such a good baby, Simon. You're calm and observant, and so laid back. You're still in your "sleepy" phase, and you have been a little congested. You are a LOUD sleeper, always grunting and gasping and groaning. I stay up half the night just listening to you breathe.

You hate having a dirty diaper. Even wet... You can't stand being wet or dirty at all, which is a struggle, because you're always wet or dirty. So, I feel like I'm constantly changing your diaper.

You're not the best nurser. Your neck hasn't been holding adjustments, and I think it's caused you to not latch on as well as you could. Because of this, I got mastitis and it was the WORST. But, we made it through, and I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Nursing troubles haven't slowed your growth - you are a chunk! Around 13lbs, and I think it's time we move up to a size 1 diaper. At 4 weeks, you're still in NB clothing, but not for much longer!
